Easy deployment with a MCMS Placeholder
RadEditor MCMS Edition is shipped with a special Placeholder that allows developers to easily deploy RadEditor ASP.NET component in MCMS-based projects. The most common settings of RadEditor can be managed directly by configuring the Placeholder properties in Microsoft® Visual Studio .NET.

Familiar user interface

RadEditor features a familiar interface that closely replicates the look and feel of Microsoft® Word. As a result, little or no training is required for regular business users.

Highly customizable appearance and behavior
RadEditor can be customized substantially, so that it displays different sets of tools and options for different users. The visual appearance of the component (toolbar and dialogs) can also be modified to fit the graphic design of the specific MCMS project.

Easily insert Internal Links to channels/postings
RadEditor enables end-users to easily insert internal links to other channels/postings of the project. This is achieved by accessing the Internal Links dialog of the MCMS right from the Hyperlinks dialog of RadEditor. As a result, when users need to insert a link to another channel they simply have to select it from the treeview.

Employs the security model of MCMS
To provide further integration with MCMS RadEditor employs the platform's security model. As a result, when the "EnableAuthoring" property of the Placeholder is set to False, RadEditor is displayed in "View-only" mode and the content is presented as regular HTML.

Integrated support for MCMS Resource Gallery
RadEditor has an integrated support for the MCMS Resource Gallery. When users work with images, Flash, Windows Media or documents, the dialogs retrieve and save files in the respective folders of the Resource Gallery. The specific user permissions can be set directly from the Site Manager in MCMS.

Spellcheck using the MS Word dictionaries
RadEditor features a multilingual spellchecker, which can use either its integrated dictionaries or the ones supplied with Microsoft® Word. (Note: Microsoft® Word must be installed on the server).

Custom Links drop-down
Enables users to quickly insert predefined hyperlinks from a drop-down list on the toolbar. The set of links is specified by the administrator.

Accessibility – Section "508" compliant content
RadEditor includes tools for generating "Section 508"-compliant content. As a result, the component can be used in US Federal Institutions and other organizations, which require all content to be accessible to people with limited dexterity, low vision, or other disabilities.
CSS-based skinning
RadEditor completely accommodates a CSS-based skinning mechanism. As a result, developers can completely change the appearance of the toolbar and the dialogs by simply modifying the supplied classes and images. The product is shipped with three Microsoft© Office 2003 skins: blue, monochrome, and custom brown.

Enhanced Windows XP SP2 support
RadEditor MCMS Edition can use either classic Windows modal dialogs or its own custom dialogs. The advantage of custom dialogs is that they will not be blocked by the integrated pop-up blocker in Windows XP Service Pack 2. Moreover, the status bar, which is mandatory for all browser windows in SP2, will not be displayed, preserving the proper graphic design of the dialogs.
